"Taking a break from twitter for a while," Rimes,Ed hardy hoodies, 27, Tweeted on Wednesday. "It's unhealthy for me and my family to have to read negative comments from people who's [sic] opinions have no bearing on my life."
She added hopefully: "There's a million other ways to stay connected with my fans and I plan to focus on those! The most important, bringing you great music!

The divorced country singer came under intense attack Tuesday for paparazzi shots of her making out with beau Eddie Cibrian (with his young son inches away) in Santa Barbara, Calif.. "Since when is kissing your boyfriend a crime?!" she retorted on the microblogging site. (Rimes and actor Cibrian got together on the set of a Lifetime flick in late 2008, when they were both still married to other people.)
