During her secret fact-finding trip, the U.N. goodwill ambassador met with U.N. wholesale and Haitian officials -- including Haiti’s President Rene Preval -- to discuss Haitian children left homeless and orphaned by the devastating Jan. 12 earthquake.
Last Thursday, Jolie met with refugees in Ecuador. "I wanted to come back and meet with vulnerable people and focus on violence against women and unaccompanied minors," she said in a statement. "I am so happy to be able to reconnect with some familiar faces, refugees I had met with during my 2002 trip."

In the video, she speaks with a woman about her experience as a refugee. Says the actress: "I was in this region about eight years ago and at the time there were about 300 registered refugees.
